For New Years we went to the St. George First Night and wandered around for a while...but it was boring and freezing so shortly before midnight we went home and hung and watched the ball drop!

1/3
The Wild Life Museum in St. George...
Michael has a little attitude problem at times and when we first arrived at the Museum you enter into there gift shop. So I took Michael over and we were looking at these little figurines of animals...ya bad idea! I let him old an Iya (elephant) and then I took it from him to put back and he wanted to hold it again and I told him no! Soooo he freaked out and went and over and knocked a bunch of the figurines to the floor! Luckily only one broke so we only had to fork out 7.50 for some dumb little monkey! So it could have been worse! But what ticked me off even more was the way the workers handled it..... ewww it left me fuming!

kissing a bear...I was shocked he actually did it
playing in the tree fort with cousin Tre

Don't they look like there having fun

We went to Mesquite for the evening to the buffet at Eureka...I enjoyed it much...but the others were not fans! What can I say I had a plate full of crab...who wouldn't be happy!

Zoo Lights 12/27

We went to Zoo Lights for the first time... and in spite of the cold we loved it!!

I wished I could have been in Michaels shoes....all bundled up and warm

afterwards his little hands were freezing so I told him he could wear my gloves....he thought he was pretty cool with his monster hands and didn't take them off til we got home

I almost forgot one of my favorite Christmas time pics! This is Michael posing by his little christmas tree in his room! He loves his tree...each year he gets a new ornament for it...he's got elmo and cookie monster and now this year he got a Mater (Cars) ornament! He looks so stinkin cute cheesing in his Mater Jammies!

We had a wonderful Christmas....Michael was at such a fun age! He enjoyed opening presents, eating treats, and hanging with family!

showing off his new Christmas jammies!

waking up Christmas morning

Santa was good to Michael!
opening what ended up being his absolute favorite gift from santa...Horton Hears a Who... we watch it all the time! He loves elephants and he calls them Iya's (It stemed from ela....don't ask me how) anyways so he calls it Iya show and the way he says it sounds like a$$hole...its kindof funny... not so much when he's yelling it in church or at the store though!

This is his how excited he got when we put the show in....and he saw the Iya!
To the Ferguson Fam's:

Michael loves his mickey mouse table he got from Aunt Mo Mo and all his cars he got from Gama and Gampa!

While we were playing a game I look over and see that my son has helped himself to a snack thats as big as his head!

the whole crew

On to the next stop...doesn't he look excited....

The Ellis Fam:
Michael loves his Mater car grandpa gave him!! He LOVES Mater!

Uncle Ken Ken and Aunt Ca Ca opening presents!

An Emily thought....

As mentioned previously I'm currently reading the book Where Angels Fall and this morning as I was reading I came to a part that hit me hard and I thought I would share. A little insight to what is going on.... Lucifer and one of his followers are watching these two brothers Ammon and Luke ( who are righteous young men) and they are discussing how they can corrupt them and lead them down the wrong path.....

" Lucifer glared at the brothers. "I wish I could kill them," he growled. "If I could, I would. I would torture them, beat them, and cause them great pain. I would make them cry for mercy, then beat them some more. I would make them hate their bodies as much as I hate not having one. I could have been their master! But no, they didn't want me. They wanted to learn and grow for themselves. So that is fine. I will teach them. I will teach them of misery and despair!" "

that line really struck a cord with me......I would make them hate their bodies as much as I hate NOT having one. I think of all the self image issues we have in this world. Too fat...Too thin....Ugly...big nose...big chin....big butt...etc. How the media portrays how we should look and if we don't then we should use money for expensive surgerys and treatments so we can look that way. I think of the times I complain about my stretch marks and saggy belly skin and really I need to realize I have those because Heavenly Father blessed me with a beautiful little boy. My saggy boobs....and realize I was healthy and able to nurse my baby....I know there are some out there that couldn't. My pasty white skin and realize I come from a wonderful heritage and have an amazing family who I'm close with and who love me! My too tight jeans.... and realize that I like chocolate... simple as that! Just all the many body image issues we all go through. Satan wants a body......he is soooo extremely jealous of OUR bodies..... so he puts these blasted thoughts and feelings in our heads! Don't let satan win!

Sorry to go all drama....but I know everyone struggles with this at some time in there life... so I thought I'd share! We are who we are and we are here for a reason.... I hope to remember that!

Ok its official....I have decided to become a better blogger! It is time and here is my reasoning....

I've been keeping a journal/picture/momento book type thing for michael. Which practically looks like a blog because I'm not good at just journaling so its got pictures and things glued in... so its like a journal want to be scrapbook but without the cutsie stuff...you get the gist! Anyway soo I'm way behind on his book because I'm bad at getting pics printed out to stick in it. Sooo blogging I think is the way to go... (ok amy you convinced me with the whole blurb book) I can just do my thingy on this and then get it printed out in a book at the end of the year and presto!! So you all get excited for the new and improved FergyFam blog! It will probably be more a Michael blog since I'll be replacing the book....so get ready to see lots of my cute little munchkin!

Some goodies!

This is an excellent LDS fiction book about the premortal life and war in heaven! It is a series of....I think 6...anyways I'm on the 2nd one now and I'm a huge fan! It makes you think alot about our premortal life and the covenants we made! Actually it makes you think about alot of stuff!! Its really good! Eww and the way he describes Satan.... oh it so good...just read it!

'In the time before Creation, before so many of the children of God turned away from their Father and walked knowingly into the dark, there was a choosing, a sifting, a contest of ideas and a battle for souls. In that great premortal war, each of us learned the first lessons of life: The great ones may fall. The wicked can change. The weak and the foolish can become the strongest of all. And the battle between good and evil is the same regardless of the time or place'

I'm not done with the second one yet....but in this one the characters are now on earth and the battle with evil continues...

'The war that began before we entered mortality is escalating into the final battle for freedom, liberty and the hearts and souls of all men. Into this world filled with turmoil, our Father will send some of his most valiant servants. A child is born who may have the power to change the course of history. But will Elizabeth remember the covenants she made in the pre-mortal world? Will she and her brothers have the strength to withstand the terrible forces of evil that will reign in the Last Days? Against the backdrop of Middle Eastern conflict, this story of war and intrigue will have you riveted.'

I'm looking forward to the rest the series!

Excellent Read....and if your a dog lover...a must!

This book was really good....it is written through the eyes of a dog and it is so fun! At times I found myself wondering... do dogs really think like this?.....and some times I think they do! The dogs owner is a race car driver so he talks about raceing and racers which was interesting since I'm clueless to the subject...so if that suits you fancy you'll like it even more! Garth Stein is amazing and getting into a dogs head...it is so creative! So if you want a good read (and you don't mind a few curse words and sexual content.... but remember its coming from a dog) Then here is a book for you!

here's a short summary:

'An imaginative and emotional tale of life and love from a creative and unorthodox point of view, The Art of Racing in the Rain tells the story of the Swift family, as seen by their faithful dog, Enzo. On the eve of his death, Enzo recalls all that the family has been through: the sacrifices his master, Denny Swift, an up-and-coming race car driver, has made to succeed; the unexpected loss of Eve, Denny’s wife; the three-year custody battle over their daughter, Zoe, whose maternal grandparents pulled every string to gain guardianship. The Art of Racing in the Rain is the third novel from Stein, a former documentary filmmaker who lives in Seattle'
