We had a little Michael scare today.... the little guy was fine all morning and then at lunchtime when he sat down to eat with my sister he was acting funny. She called me down and Michael was really acting weird like he was going to pass out so I grabbed him and realized he was burning up. I took his temperature and it was up to 103!!! I FREAKED! Isn't 103 like medical emergency? I jumped in the car and raced him over to the insta-care... I guess 103 wasn't an emergency for them because they didn't seem too rushed...maybe it my frazzled state that had me thinking everyone was in slow motion! Anyways turns out he may have an ear infection they gave him some tylenol to lower his fever and an antibiotic.
So... he's all good... phewww.... what a relief!!

This is a momentous day...
Michael went to nursery all by himself today....not a peep out of him! It just took us 14 months to get to this point! :)
ps. Is it bad that I was sad he didn't care if we were there? I missed hanging with the little tykes!

Funny stuff...
So my child (like most little boys) is always putting his hand down his diaper. I'm always telling him... "don't touch your pee pee" So today I'm getting ready and I'm tucking in my undershirt into my jeans and he says to me.....
"mama, don't touch your pee pee"
.... he's hilarious!

Ems Frozen Delights...I should open a shop
This is the greatest investment ever (ok I haven't invested in one myself yet...I've just stolen my dads that was collecting dust in his pantry) Seriously with all this Yogurt Stop and Spoon Me craze going around I thought I'm totally going to making my own frozen yogurt. What I have discovered is nothing but sheer bliss...seriously...it is soooo tasty and with the cost of what you could buy one little cup full you can make a whole batch (ok I haven't ever actually gone and bought any at those places so don't know the price but I can imagine its probably pricey) Anyways it is soooo super easy too! Like I mean super easy... I just keep the freezer bowl in the freezer at all times and when I want some frozen yogurt throw a few ingredients in and turn it on and in 20 min I've got a delicious frozen treat! I even stocked up on Sunflower markets excellent deal of 99 cent raspberries and blueberries and now have a freezer full of berries to put on top.... yummy!
here's the recipe I have been using and have been really pleased with though I haven't tried another one yet because this is soo good!
Black Cherry Frozen Yogurt ( I don't add the cherries so technically just plain frozen yogurt)
2 egg whites
2/3 cup sugar (castor or superfine, if you have it) ( I've just been using regular sugar since thats what I have on hand)
3 1/2 cups nonfat yogurt (500 grams)(I use the Mountain High nonfat vanilla or I just used the raspberry the other day and that was tasty)
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup chopped frozen sweet cherries and chocolate chips (I omit this and just add my berries and crushed grahams to the top afterward) (you could add whatever you wanted in just make sure you look at your instructions for your icecream maker to know when to add it)
Whisk vanilla into yogurt until it is smooth and set aside.
Beat egg whites until frothy, add sugar gradually and continue beating at medium-high speed until you have soft peaks, 4-5 minutes. Do not overbeat.
Fold yogurt into egg whites in 4 additions, making sure it is well incorporated. Fold in cherries and chocolate chips and pour mixture into your ice cream maker. Freeze as directed and store inan airtight container in the freezer if you are not going to eat it right away.
Serves 6

Easy as that 4 ingredients (5 if you add something in) and you can enjoy some sweet deliciousness! I'm honestly loving it!
ps. If you don't want to invest and want to try out some of this frozen delicacy then come on over to my house... I'll hook ya up
ps. dad if you read this... I refuse to return it so don't even ask! :)

Hitting up St. George any time soon...
a must stop is Richshaw Asian Gourmet! It honestly is the tastiest Asian food I ever have partakin in! Its a total must everytime we come down here... and we are on our way to trying everything on the menu and everything we have tried so far has been fabulous! (though the curry chicken was a little on the curry side for my liking) The Lo Mein noodles are UNBELIEVABLE.... I'm serious...they are so dang good! What bugs me about other chinese food places is that you have to order a variety of dishes to get a good mix and everything is seperate big dishes. This place you order a meal and get soup or salad (there egg drop soup is tasty... and kevy likes there salad dressing); then either rice or noodles (like previously mentioned noodles are fab. and the fried rice is tasty as well...haven't tried the other 2 kinds of rice they have); and then your main dish (orange chicken, sesame chicken, teryaki chicken, etc.) and a cookie (which we call the finger nail cookies...if you go you'll see why... don't fret though they are good)
Anyways just thought I'd share this piece of deliciousness with you all! ( kev theatened that if I spread the good news too much and next time we go he has to wait he'll be real mad...I told him do not fret I have like 2 people that look at my blog :) he has nothing to worry about!)
ps. I should be getting paid for this post :)
